... ended up being kinda **** (although we did have some nice muffins in a coffee shop) and then got very lost on the way to the Mall. We did a little shopping (Forever 21 I miss you!!) and then went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner (I had lemon and raspberry - amazing!). Decided to drive north this evening so we can spend the whole day on the beach tomorrow. Having the best time...man I love California!!

People keep asking me, "Aren't you excited?" I am not. My "wait and see" approach to adventures has definitely frustrated some in my life. But perhaps it's only a defense mechanism against inflating expectations and therefore harmless. For now: I am patient and I am preparing. And that is plenty.

... trip last Sunday, Bre and I jumped in my car, rocked out to Guns N Roses, and traveled up the coast towards LA to see what Rt 1 had to offer. We cruised through Laguna Beach feeling real out of place in my clunky chevy. And alas, thoughts of streaking through Laguna Beach filming were put on hold til next season begins. But keep your eyes peeled. We had no destination but ended up at Huntington Beach, where we sipped margaritas (from a can) as the sun set. Classy.
