Also yesterday, Bob and I were asked to step into the position of Golf Carts/Radios Lt when the current Lt becomes the Captain. We were told by one person that he really liked how we work and catch on to things fast. We talked about it and decided that we would try it for a the next ...

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 05, 2015

Our main reason for being in Houston was to visit the Johnson Space Center (JSC). We arrived at 10am and got a spot right by the entrance, because there were not many people there. It was suppose to be for the Apollo 18 mission that was scrapped due to budget cuts. The rocket was huge. A real impressive piece of 60s technology. I spent a fair amount of time looking at the rocket, then headed back to the tram and to the main visitors centre. I walked around to see if there ...

Day 144 - Austin to Houston

... pretty crazy people in the Walmart, grocery shopping in USA is a bit of an eye opener, especially in Walmarts in the hood. We also got food for the next 3 days as we had a fridge and microwave in the room and no free breakfast and we are on a tight budget. We didn't do much else that night, I looked into how to get to the Johnson Space center which is NASA and where they build space crafts and mission control is. Other than that we watched tv and had an early ...
