I don't think were in Kansas anymore toto (Maxx)
So we were told yesterday that this job was over and done with that we can leave on Mon (today)...was well compensated for a short job, enjoyed being in Kansas for a short time...but could not understand why anybody would want to live in that part of the country (flat and windy). So somehow we have lost all but two electrical outlets...cannot figure it out. So had a funny thing happen to me yesterday.... I went to go dump my poopoo tank into the waste container ...

... the vent. I rode in honor of Laura Caroline Oler. She was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2002 at the age of 8. She was treated and thought to be cancer free until she relapsed in 2006. She received a stem cell transplant from an unrelated donor for the Be The Match Registry. Laura had many post transplant complications but is doing well and is now a senior in high school.

Fabulous Father's Day Weekend
What a terrific Bon Voyage! Our neighbors, the Baran's, granddaughter Tiffani and house sitter Kaylee were present to send us on our way. Thankfully, Nitchie, our sweet 13 year old pit bull terrier didn't have to watch us drive off; she stayed inside with Kaylee while we made our escape. We'll miss her terribly but the freedom of traveling without her will be a blessing.

Packed up, headed north. Breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Back on the road, a stop at the huge outlet stores in San Marcos. Now on to Austin.
