    ... cleared my head and throat of being sick. I lost my voice today and was a little worried for testing but I knew I could do what was set, I accepted it wont be as great, but I still will be good. I haven't trained for nothing my whole life.

    I had the BEST pre-season ever! I am so happy with week 1's testing results. After all testings I was one of the 5 girls who passed absolutely everything! & I won the Beep test!.
    Everyday the team ...

    ... and La doesn't have alot of national parks either) - - I went to Cane River Creole Historical Park, which had me riding through some of the Bayou country. This is actually comprised of 2 old plantations - with slave quarters, etc - nice set up... a neat thing here is that is was an unmanned site - no rangers on duty.. I guess they come by in the morning to open & evening to close & probably just patrol around - - it was just me and a retired couple ...

    Saw storms on the forecast, thought, north??

    ... and then picked up smaller roads towards Hattiesburg and Vicksburg.

    Going over a magnificent bridge over Mobile Bay you swing into Alabama and one of your first sites is the USS Alabama moored up with it's guns pointing at Florida! Stopped for photo op and then heading on got a little lost exiting Mobile but eventually found the right road - north! It all got a little back road America here, passing dilapted houses, little mom and pop ...

    ... and coffee for $9.25...for the two of us! The two dollar tip Steve left almost got him a kiss from the 309 lb waitress with beard. Lots of local color with the patrons, most of whom we're ordering 2 cheeseburgers for breakfast. Traveling thru Tuscaloosa for a coffee, we passed the University of Mississippi which has got to be one of the most Magnificat campuses I have ever seen! Besides the football ...
