I have been getting small preparations ready for my trip and each time I do such a thing my body becomes overwhelmed with excitement. Like today for example is my last day of college (whawho) and for a graduation present my father bought me the digital camera I wanted to take on the trip. I went back up to Eugene, picked up Katie and we drove back to Idaho. On the way there we camped in the Cascades at the Metoleous River. The photos don't really show how incredible this is, at the mouth of the Metoleous the water comes out of the side of the mountain. Turn around and it's a full river.<br><br>We drove through the Craters of the Moon National Monument, also an incredible area.<br>

... in comparison to Strawberry Hill, but the best parts were the underground 360-degree shark tanks and coral reef.  We sat for awhile here as sharks and schools of fish swam over our heads! With neither the charm nor the eccentricity of Yachats, Newport left something to be desired. However, the drive back to Eugene was amazingly beautiful.
