    Ok, Week 2...

Day 1 - Saying goodbye to Lincoln City felt sad but we was ready to leave the Pacific and head back into the wilderness. Driving to Eugene went very quickly and once we had checked in we took Kevin G and found ourselves in Corvallis, home of Oregon State University! The town was heaving and we had a gander in some shops to …

... We then spent the afternoon watching the Masters.

Tomorrow we make the 2 1/2 hour drive to Bandon, Oregon which is on the Pacific Coast. ... was fascinating to watch these tiny birds hovering with their wings whirring furiously.

We stopped on the way home at a roadside restaurant called Takoda. We sat outside in a very pretty garden setting and had a nice meal with a glass of Sauv Blanc. We got back to Eugene, tired but happy about 8-45pm. It had been a great afternoon doing an activity which we might otherwise have not attempted but we were sure glad we did.

The start to my travel blog posts

A travel blog entry by mccloskey on Feb 21, 2014

So in exactly 35 days, 17 hours, and 21 minutes, I will be boarding a plane from Boise to Seattle, and then another from Seattle straight to London -- but it is not like I am counting or anything. Anyway, I figure that it is approaching SOON enough for me to finally sit down and begin this travel blog (and let's be honest...if I read one more word of Milton's Paradise Lost tonight, my brain might explode). I am super excited to keep up posts to share my experiences and adventures ...
