    ... back to the Wild Duck for a drink and met with Peter and his friends. It was lovely to see Julie again, Peter's ex girlfriend with whom we had stayed in Milton Keynes about 20 years ago. There was also an interesting couple, Lawrie and Gwen who provided an evening of good conversation and convivial company. The place was buzzing. We went home about 11-30 and then sat up chatting until nearly 2. A late night but a good one.
