... with the kids! On the 26th, we will head back to New York before departing for Malawi on the 27th.
We'll arrive in Malawi in the evening on the 28th. My best friend, Ireen, will meet us at the airport (along with some or all of her 13 family members). We'll make our way back to her village and sleep there that night. It will be an experience, as there is no electricity or running water there. I'm mostly ...
... devotionals this weekend, I have been reminded of the importance of fasting, waiting, and preparing for Christ. My cousin Madison and I talked and prayed some yesterday about this, and perhaps the Lord is going to do some amazing things in my heart this Advent season. As I leave my family, my traditions, my home for the holiday, I hope to calm my spirit and rest from the many distractions that Christmas can bring.

... as we didn't get there until nearly 3pm, having forgone an earlier lunch! Bought a 'Amish Friends' cookbook, which I'm looking forward to sharing with my more culinary able friends in Island Bay. :0)
So far today have driven/touch on 6 States today: New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington D.C, Virginia & lastly North Carolina! About 1200 km driving! Staying the night in Durham, North
Carolina.
... bad enough that we have to deal with audience members who take phone calls, don't turn off their ringers, and rudely indulge in texting through out performances. All of these things are distractions to not only your fellow audience members, but to the actors on stage. Not to mention those of us backstage who have to spend 10 min. getting ahold of ushers, etc. to get your sorry self to stop being rude.
okay... that's my mini rant on theatre etiquette.
... is, for those of us living in Southern California that means a nightmare in traffic and a two hour car ride into the mountains... until now! This unique outdoor skating venue will transform the way Los Angelenos experience the holiday season. Imagine no more treks hundreds of miles to get the chill of winter, we're bringing the wintry outdoors of the north right to you in Woodland Hills! Woodland Hill Ice located in the San Fernando ...
Woodland Hills, North Carolina, United States woodlandhillsThe fifth day, we trained at the largest chicken plant in the nation: Mountaire. We flew to North Carolina. The people were so nice there! They loved what they did and that made me smile. They gave us a tour of the chicken plant and I don't know what I was thinking when I agreed to do it. I thought it would be fun, but instead, I have now become a vegetarian I think.
We started the tour and it seemed fine as you ...

Flyveturen
Moster Birgitte og Peter gav mig en super god afsked i lufthavnen, hvor vi drak en latte og fik en god sludder om mit forestående ophold. Turen gik smertefrit for mig.
... Markay left her cellphone in the car. No big deal, our cell phone wouldn't work in Ecuador anyway.
Flight to Atlanta was uneventful but departed and arrived early. With almost 3 hours to burn in the Atlanta airport, we visited some shops (way expensive), eat some lunch (way expensive) and rode the underground shuttle a couple of times. The boys love the shuttle train and could sit right at the front to see down the ...
