      ... in the late 1700's, 1800's and early 1900's. There were artisans in period dress demonstrating sewing, blacksmithing, and woodworking and a lovely 91-year-old WWII veteran talking about his experiences as a farmer in the area and flirting shamelessly with me. The weather was cold but that meant we encountered few other visitors and so practically had the place to ourselves.

      Plus this is where some scenes from 'The Originals' were filmed.
      We then jumped back on to the street car and got off again at Audubon Park. Ducks, geese and birds galore. So this day was jam packed full of graves and ducks.

      ... New Orleans, which the owners sons had fought in with the General. The rooms were filled with antiques authentic to the early 1800's.       ... Alabama, and when it seemed like LSU was going to win, Alabama make a remarkable comeback to secure the victory.
      - The game ticket cost me $25, but we parked in one of the school's campus parking lots so parking was free.
      - After the game we spent the night in the dorms and hung out with the depressed LSU students.
