... Lafayette to see St John's Cathedral and Cemetery, then Breaux Bridge where I did a lovely kayak ride around Lake Martin. Yesterday I biked around Baton Rouge, along the levee bike trail and then to the university, where there's a lake that I hung out by and read a book. Today on my way out of town (to New Orleans!) I'll stop at Highland park and the LSU arboretum, so I'll post pictures of that ...
... clothes for Kim. Neat place.
... was a Walmart close by that the hotel shuttle would have taken me to but I would have had to go in my uniform and I figured I really didn't need to be spending money on a pair of jeans I really didn't need so I didn't go. It was a good reason to stay in my room and get some tax work done anyway so that's what I did. It was a good laugh for the crew though when I told them I forgot my pants.
We decide that we'd explore Baton Rouge on Thursday and go to New Orleans on Friday and Saturday. We went grocery shopping in Livingston in the morning and took off for Baton Rouge around 11:00 a.m. We stopped at the Visitor Center in Baton Rouge and noticed there were several plantations in the area that offered tours. Even though John is NOT a tour guy, he decided it would be worthwhile to visit the area’s most haunted plantation.
... never to Florida. I am 85 years old and it is time I visit the "Fountain of Youth." Don't know if it help but we'll see.Of course I hope to get in a little shopping along the way.
Will you all please say a special prayer asking, Our Lord, to protect us with his Angels. Thanks.
Until my next blog I am sending love, kisses and hugs to you all.
