I absolutely loved seeing and walking the bridge, and it was picture perfect weather for it (never mind the cold and extreme winds!). We got on the 28, swapped for a 30, and we were back at our hotel area. ...
... why countries continue to let us thru customs. There was the $300 cab ride in Kyoto (sorry honey, I must have forgotten to mention that one), the night they strapped us into our train beds to go over the mountains from Prague to Budapest, (you try sleeping sideways) and the time we set off the emergency exit alarms at the hotel trying to take a shortcut to the wine store we saw from our window!
We are running out ...
We are less than 30 days and counting, my usual traveling companion "the blonde one" and I are off on another adventure. This time a whirlwind tour starting in London, testing the waters in Istanbul and seeing a friend sing in the opera in Venice.
I am sure our journeys will be as crazy as ever, filled with questionable purchases, too much bad wine and a trip to London would not be complete ...
... Champagne, 2003 Cab and a Red Chocolate Port. The ride back was even more fun than Elaine remembered. ~35-40mph going downhill for most of the ride. It's not scary if you don't think about it too much.
Ate some crab.
Watched the Hunger Games part 2 at Union City. Renewed Elaine's inner elven ranger. We might have to buy her a recurve bow. Last winter she took archery classes.
