After Saranac Lake, we felt very relaxed and ready for the short drive to Maitland. It was interesting to watch the pine forests give way to farmland as we went from the higher parts to the surrounding low lands. Mostly corn and some low crops we assumed were soya beans or other legumes. As our first day there progressed, we were joined by Bob's brother Don and his wife Sheila. (Don, also known as "curly"). I am usually referred to as "curly Sue" by everyone. We have also known Don and Sheila from their visits to Vancouver Island.
