The clerk at the front desk clerk was very nice and checked us in quickly. The room and bathroom were clean, room was cool and the beds were comfortable. I would stay here again.

The 2 lane roads were 70 mph and the 4 lane were 75 mph, keep in mind that people have driveways that connect to these roads and there are lots of blind hills and curves. I guess Texans like to live dangerously, and don't like getting speeding tickets, so they set the speed limits high.

The one thing I can say about Beaumont is that they took the phrase "Everything's a little bigger in Texas" to heart. They are home to: 1) Happy Half Wit Muffler Man; 2) the world's largest "working" fire hydrant (formerly the world's largest fire hydrant); and 3) Big Beau the 135-feet long alligator. We had a ...

Still, driving across Texas. Staying at Hidden Lake RVPark for two nights although there's nothing to do in Beaumont. But the park is nice. Rainy and humid but okay! Like the sound of rain. We had dinner at Tia Juanitas, interesting MX and cajin food. A new food we never had before, ...
