Good start to the day with sausages, toast and barbecue baked beans for brunch! Our plan for the day was to head down to Rockingham, about an hour south of Perth, for a boat tour of Bird Island, Penguin Island and Seal Island. A pretty uneventful trip, being primarily Freeway all the way. The only difficult part of the journey came right at the end when we had to firstly reverse up the street where Jan lives and then reverse the van into the driveway ensuring ...

One of the most horrific yet proud day ever!

... we just had a laugh about it. The view of Perth CBD as the sun sets and the buildings light up is gorgeous. I was regretting not bringing my proper canon camera but we are travelling light with a mere 7kg of luggage so it was a luxury i couldn't carry ;( we stopped and has an Asahi beer at the dock and i got the devastating news about the cricket, which had been painful to watch a few hours earlier. Not the best end to the day but at least we were thankful that no one died ...
