Hello I am typing this in a plane as we fly from Melbourne to Perth. It was an early start this morning as we caught the train from Beaconsfield at 7am. We are going home to check on the house/garden etc. We have Jane and Alan coming to do a house exchange early December (we are going to their place ...

So, on a sunny, Sunday morning it should come as no surprise that the sight of the recycle bins in Perth is enough to make a hepatologist weep. In our case, a bottle of Mount Gay rum, a bottle of Jack Daniel's, countless bottles of Beck's, Carlton Dry and white wine. You would be forgiven for thinking that we'd thrown ...

... the city with a heavy downpour! We took shelter in the Plaza on Hay St. until it stopped (luckily it only lasted for about 20 minutes). We carried on along Hay St. until we reached Mad Mex where we had burritos for dinner! Mmm mmm!! Back on the move we headed back to St. George's Terrace to see the Winter Lights which were amazing (they were projected onto the Royal Insurance Building, the Newspaper House and an art gallery and a ...
