          ... poorer neighborhoods where the houses are in some disrepair, the houses are still beautiful. Tobacco barons built these homes. In the late 1800s Lynchburg was one of the weathiest cities in America. We stopped in the Lynchburg Museum in the Old Courthouse, but the main attraction here is the town itself.

          Since St. Pat's Day is on March 17, last night must have been when everyone took the liberty of celebrating. We had noisy hotel guests coming and going and waking us up throughout the night. Mac even stuck his head out the door at one point to tell them to "Be Quiet!"

          Stayed in a 6 bedroom "cabin" in Blue Ridge Mountains close to Bedford, VA and Peaks of Otter.

          As Jeanne said "The good times just keep getting better. And, Karen, thanks for coordinating everything with the house. As much as we *****ed about it, it really hit all the high points--plenty of rooms and bathrooms, a nice dining space, great views, and a hot tub and company that goes unmatched."
