The end of our journey is in sight!! We stayed near Detroit on Tuesday night and crossed back into Canada at Sarnia and headed down to Point Pelee - Canada's most southern point before going to Shiela and Rob's last night. Although it is our country's most southerly point, the weather was cold and windy!! Today we are on our way to St Catharines for a quick visit with Grandma ...
... and then back to Detroit Monday afternoon. Total distance approx, 1700 miles.
I left my home near Detroit just before 3 PM to meet my riding buddy Peter in Howell, MI at the intersection of US-23 and M-59, a distance of about 40 miles. From there we would ride together to Sault Saint Marie, hopefully beating most of the holiday traffic heading up north.
Mary Here: Living in Michigan, I am closer to faith places like Clinton College or the churches of Detroit. In preparing for this trip, I had to research Clinton College. That led me to reading about the Dutch Reformed Church. It seems they recently had a unifying event. Why are religions suddenly trying to reorganize?
