... he can't lift and carry as much. The rental car bus was a highlight, as always. Got a minivan and headed toward Waco. As we waited for the rental car check-in process, a man in line commented how well-behaved the girls were. Once settled in the minivan, we set the navigator to Waco and started driving. We made good time and enjoyed seeing all the southern businesses I remember, like Waffle House and Whataburger and ...

    More rock... But underground

A travel blog entry by guernsey-girl on Jun 27, 2014

So in the end I decided to go to the drive in and we saw a million was to die in the west (still a great film the second time round). ... the microphone. We were pretty sure a sound of a camera click was quieter than her extremely projected voice. After a while, she realised the bats were starting to fly out of the entrance so, thank god, shut up and stood to the side. It really was a magnificent sight. The bats were about the size of a thumb so against the cave face, they appeared to be dashes of black, circling upwards, eventually they rose against the evening sky and their bat form took ...

    Beautiful weather for one day

A travel blog entry by clara.sayre on Mar 13, 2014

Today's weather was beautiful. Just absolutely beautiful. We had a 90 mile jump to Marlin this morning and as soon as we were set up, we took a nap in order to function the rest of the day. We don’t normally have time to take naps so when we can, we take full advantage of it. Armando, Cristian, Daniel, and Arwen were practicing a horse riding act in the ring, so we slipped into the bleachers to watch a little bit. I’ve ...
