    Yosemite and some awesomely big trees

    Today we hit Yosemite National Park. It was large and beautiful, green and rocky. And it was also a very long drive. Almost 3 hours, much of that within the park. We stopped quite a few times to take pictures, and then we got to drive on some of the restricted roads with Grandpa's handicap pass. We got some dirty looks and overheard a few of the bikers..."I don't think they're supposed to be driving on this road" and ...

    ... it was amazing. We stayed in the really cool hostal called the la mesia was so lovely and i really didnt want to leave i could have stayed there the rest of my trip but in the end we had to see more of columbia.
    The next place we went was cartagena this city is an old colonial fort built in 1565 and some of the walls took 200 years to build its super impressive and super pretty as a citys go (but not as pretty as Edinburgh) was amazing walking around in such history ...

    ... Set on a beautiful beach you really don't want to leave but the crew managed to bribe us on board with some more drinks.

    After we got back I was more than a little tipsy but at least I hadn't gotten seasick! After such a long day we decided to just have dinner at the Ritz & then crash with Rodney making me promise him that I wouldn't drag him anywhere the next day...he was in need of a day of relaxation!

    ... that day. We spread out under a tree...tired, hungry, beaten and in bliss. Along came some strangers....all having a good time.....and joined in our little happy group! Its great meeting random strangers! LOL...but these guys were absolutely hilarious. Two Brits and a Swedish guy...all sailed down to trinidad and getting caught up in the excitement! We did get some talking in then, and we learned that Kate and Graciela had collaborated on animal cruelty issues and have promoted vegetarian and vegan lifestyles. After one more person from Friends Meeting, Madeline, arrived at Kate's house, we were ready to walk as a group.
