7200 Fun Center Way Tukwila, Washington, United States, 98188, 425-227-7200
... have spent many more hours walking around the impressive Pike Place Market we had visited earlier in the day. It was packed with fish and vegetable vendors and artisans selling, jewerlry, art and hand printed or woven clothing and more. One lady was selling tee-shirts announcing 'Seattle's Rain Festival'. 'Good on them for embracing their weather,' I thought, thinking Wellington, NZ should have a gales festival, but the lady told me it was just a joke, not an actual event.

Seattle, Washington, United States swami_worldtrav... and snacks. For a budget airline the same price as the likes of Ryanair, they were great!! I watched this fun rock music quiz show on the way (and got most of the answers right) then before I knew it I'd landed in SEA-TAC airport. It was gone 11pm by the time I arrived at the Best Western - a lovely hotel with nice big rooms and a coffee maker, power shower and cable TV. After a good nights sleep, I got up, had my free breakfast in the hotel then walked a few blocks down to ...
Seattle, Washington, United States lucyb1983uk... his non appearance a good time was had and another successful parting shot was my winning the throw a hatchet at a tree contest. Those yanks took one hell of a beating as this wide eyed boy from Ealing left them in his wake. And so I awoke in the morning to the realisation that my time was up. There was no emotion, well not on leaving only on Spurs losing. Farewells were had including one with Leyton. For a more detailed synopsis on ...

Tukwila, Washington, United States lambs... since I needed her leads to find an interviewee. Denver to Seattle in a 24 hour period. I got pretty far last night though. I was somewhere in Wyoming when I started the trip meter for today. But I still had around 1,000 miles to drive. When daybreak hit, I could finally see that Wyoming was country that was hilly with neat looking rocks here and there. Still, there wasn't much evidence of people in that open country. I kept driving. After Wyoming, it was a quick trip through Utah ...
Seattle, Washington, United States vcfighters... the points ahead and after clearing a freight train that was backed up behind us, locos from Portland, 7 miles back, were coming out to pull us back into a siding. They would then return and rescue our locomotives and take them back to Portland for checking. The new locos would then hook onto the front of us and take us onwards. We rolled back to Portland and waited and at 2230 decided to go to bed. The roomettes were situated each side of a central corridor ...
Seattle, Washington, United States harryandnorah... in each railway station until we hit Croatia and then all the stairs in between - we know we walked several thousand steps during our journey (we counted in St. Michel and it was over 600 and that was just one outing!) Miles walked: 305 miles! WOW, we are not too surprised at this number because we did not have any transportation except our 4-wheeler in Greece and one day in a rental car in Avignon. We made our way UP some serious goat trails and DOWN ...
Seattle, Washington, United States rlineurope... restaurant at the top looked like a giant alien from Batteries Not Included. Had food up there at an exhorbatant price to avoid paying the lift fee. Was ok. Returned to the hostel after discovering that Rico was 19 and was unlikely to be able to go to any of the crazy Halloween-themed bars knocking around town. Played some pool and went to bed early again cursing my decision to come to Seattle.
Seattle, Washington, United States garethbirduk... especially the Keweenaw Peninsula: http://www.keweenaw.org/, and some of lower Michigan, like Traverse City, Charlevoix, Manistee ... the upper west coast on Lake Michigan. It's beautiful there!! Minnesota: The boundary waters are supposed to be unparalleled canoeing beauty. There are good entry points from Minnesota and just over the border into Canada. Mississippi I just drove from SF to Phila by way of the deep south. I went thru Nevada, NM, El Paso, San Antonio ...
