... and made it to the gate on time (our friends actually got bumped to teh 4:30 pm flight). We boarded, and then waited on the tarmac for 45 minutes as flights to New York were backed up due to the bed weather over the last couple days. We had no problems getting our luggage and a taxi to JFK. We arrived at JFK checked in and walked to the gate, met up with our friends and were told to board. Our flight took off on time. As the flight ended on Thursday you can see how the flight was ...

It has a wonderful relaxed feel. Signing off from ...

As we walk to Adams Street we pass through Millennium Park and see cloud gate or 'the bean' as the locals call it. It's a huge stainless steel bean shaped ...

... rack with the twice baked potato. Our meals came out and, oh my god, the size. Jen's quarter chicken was more like a half, the full rack of ribs was at least a foot long, all smothered in a spicy BBQ sauce. Very delicious. The al-gratin was unlike ours and was a gooey orange cheese smothered delight. The twice baked is a baked potato, shelled out and then the contents piped back in after mixing with cream and garlic and stuff. All very delicious. After ...

We're in Chicago at the moment, which is a very nice city. We went up the Willis tower today, which is the 5th tallest building in the world and has a pretty cool glass box which comes out from the side of the viewing deck. Chicago also has a very good free(!!) zoo. It was really, really hot today. Shorts, T-shirts and sunglasses were the order of the day. We'll be based in the Chicago area until Saturday, ...
