      ... the Beautiful and then they invite all retired and active duty military to the stage. Tonight there must have been about 100 men and women on stage. They participate in the ceremonial lowering of the flag. It is a great program and we highly recommend you include it if you visit Mount Rushmore.       We finally arrived at Mt. Rushmore. You have to be amazed at the vision & skill that were necessary to carve out such an enormous sculpture on a cliff face. The fact that it was done between the years 1927-1941 with no fatalities or serious injuries is almost unbelievable. The temp was around 90 today so we didn't hike the President's Trail.
