... leading people to his store. It was a success. We counted 44 signs in a 30 minute period before arriving. He has been known to have 3000 signs all over. ... We sang happy birthday while wearing party hats. After dinner we headed for Armadillos. A local ice cream shop just a few blocks away. The place was busy which was a good sign. We sat outside and enjoyed our ice cream and sundaes. Time to head up to Mount Rushmore for the evening lighting ceremony. It is only about 18 miles from downtown Rapid City to Mount Rushmore. ... real-life stuff (with the comforts of electricity and wi-fi being at our leisure). We milked the 11 am check out time to the last minute, then headed to the St. Louis Arch. What we (OK, Ronnie) thought would be a 1 hour excursion ended up closer to 3, but it was worth it. Seriously everybody, you’ve got to go visit the Arch in your lifetime….it is special.

We came into Rapid City and stopped at Motion Unlimited Antiques. Yes more cars!
The motel (Big Sky Lodge) for tonight has a great over look view of Rapid City.
We had nice dinner. We went back to the motel sat around until we all retired to our rooms.
