    We said our group good-byes after breakfast, and about half of us left for the airport at around 10 am. About halfway there, another traffic jam and we could see a large downed tree ahead. So ... another challenge for our driver ... he turned around our bus on the narrow road and navigated a new route thru side streets to the airport ... whew again! Our flight left San Jose at about 1 pm (on-time) ... and later we learned that the Turrialba Volcano about 30 miles ...

    Packed our stuff and it was off again. This time to Montgomery. Stopped at Race Trac convenience store. Like our QT. Angie bought 2 large cans of boiled Cajun Peanuts to bring home.

    Started getting some rain going north on I-75 around Gainesville. Went north into Alabama on state route 231. Went through Dotham, Ozark, and Troy. Very beautiful country.

    Got into Montgomery about 7 p.m. It was cold and windy.

    Tomorrow headed to Selma and ...

    Alabama Frontier Days, Wetumpka, Alabama. We don't know how many of you have ever been to any sort of "re-enactment" like this. We have been to a number of Civil War re-enactments but the Alabama Frontier Days draws tons of people who are re-enacters and also visitors.
