Saturday we spent exploring the area around Mark Twain Lake. We started at the Visitor's Center attached to Clarence Cannon Dam. There is a nice viewing area where you can overlook the dam and view some of the lake. It is a very large lake, or at least seems so. It also has a Viet Nam Memorial for the Northeast Missouri killed in Viet Nam. They have it broken down by months and the dates they were killed. We boarded the bus and ...

It's dawning on us that we really are doing this in just a month. I keep googling "TMB fitness level" hoping to find reassurance that my daily flat walks to and from work are somehow preparing me for mountain trekking. Google has not offered much reassurance as of yet.
Tonight Mike is reading our guidebook and I'm testing Travelpod.
