En lang dag med sne, vandfald og solskin
Er endelig ankommet til vores hotel i Clovis ved Fresno helt ned i 100 meter over havet efter endnu en dag i højderne. Kørte gennem Tioga-passet i 3000 meters højde og legede lidt med sneen. Så en masse fantastisk flotte syn i Yosemite og badede nærmest i Bridalveil Falls med regnbue lige fremme for os. Fedt!

Dann gibt es noch den "Bachelor and the three Graces" - also den Junggesellen und die drei Grazien :o) ein einzelner ziemlich großer Baum mit drei dicht beieinander stehenden etwas kleineren Bäumen. Auch beeindruckend ist der "Fallen Monarch" - ein schon vor mehreren hundert Jahren umgestürtzter Baum, der oft als Fotohintergrund diente - vor allem für Park-Ranger, die mit ihren Pferden darauf posierten. Visiting The Giant Sequoias
... along the side of the road dwarfing anything nearby. We decided to walk to the General Sherman which was about a mile hike first down the mountain and then back up. High altitude hiking was not our thing. The General Sherman is one of the largest redwoods in the park.

The Luxor is quite centrally located on las Vegas Blvd, and we decided to stay here because it is 'next door" ( not as close as it looks) to the Mandalay Bay.
