    ... and repeat ER visits and hospitalizations, the other was at the Veteran's Administration. Both jobs were great learning experiences with patients who are both incredibly resilient and have many medical needs. And my colleagues were really wonderful, I made some really good friends.

    And when we return...Herb and Elaine will be joining us at Shady Groves! Life couldn't be better!

    ... to photograph but you can't capture them all, I did try though. After stopping to get photos of the bridge and crossing over it and back again, we continued on towards Hood River. The end goal was to do a giant loop out from Portland along the Columbia River then back in towards Mt Hood and then back to Portland again. We succeeded.     ... go Go Karting at home. They should be a real hit with Dean, Kasey and Travy next time we go. The Lloyd Centre also has a massive ice skating rink in the middle of it, maybe we can head back and go ice skating sometime this week.     ... this with a lovely local Pinot Gris, followed by two superb pinots, again made close by. We lingered in the gathering twilight, finishing the wine with some excellent local cheese. A lovely meal, but not to die for!

    Peter drove us safely back to the hotel where I listened to the last quarter of the Crows game. I, obviously, was a jinx as they went from being two points up to losing by several goals to West Coast. Oh well, at least we had a night of gold medals in Glasgow!
