... home with sleeping kids just after 11pm Mountain Time, 25 hours after we began at the HIX.

I was a little worried that with all this sleeping in planes and in the car combined with westbound jet lag, the kids wouldn't sleep through the night, but they did - right on up to 7am (D) and beyond (C).

It was more successful than I dared hope. And in hindsight, in spite of MEMEs and chocolate overload, a really, really fun trip.

... single-day viewing experiences listed. What's this? Hadn't seen those on the site before (perhaps because I was so focused on the Paris grandstands). Hold on, go back.....that one.......Alpe d'Huez. Yeah, that legendary mountain climb that they're doing twice in one day, this year. The one that we'd decided we were going to avoid entirely because the crowds are so ridiculous, and you'd have to camp out for 2 or 3 days to get a spot on one of ...

... got amazing pictures. It was all very Christmassy. A different hike took us through a fire damaged area of the park- the difference in scenery from climbing a few hundred feet was unbelievable. Desert to Lapland in 15 minutes. After 3 days we got up early and got ready to drive the 12 hours to Yellowstone. Probably should have looked outside before getting dressed. There had been so much snow over night we weren't going anywhere. Even ...
