    ... before reaching Parker, Colorado, when lo and behold we hit rush hour traffic, darn. We all became anxious to get out of the car; the Wolitzsky's house was a sight for sore eyes, we were so happy to be out of the car and done with that leg of the journey. So much for a short four hours drive!

    ... It was really cold but we saw some squirrels. We came back had some leftovers for lunch and drove to the lake to do some ice fishing. We walked out on the ice, being careful not to slip.     ... the stereo (and this continued all morning long with random selections from the 70's). I have no idea, nor do I want to know what exactly he was watering or cleaning inside his RV - I can only imagine. Well, we had lots of great stories from this stop, but we were ready to get out of here!

    ... is reflective of our past year with dad - the highs and the lows - as well as our future without him. It is the end of a journey - both the road trip and our family as we knew it. But just as the sun delivered us a beautiful rainbow in the midst of thunder and hail, I am still ever hopeful of what life has to bring us. I have no doubt that our father's teachings of acceptance ("it is what it is") will continue to provide comfort along the way.
