It's called Cave of the Winds - the original cave collapsed many years ago, however. Also did the mandatory 'Maid of the Mist' boat tour which lived up to expectations.       ... loved it. There was a circular rainbow on the deck. I wish. I could have gotten a picture of it but I was too worried about my camera. If you are a photography buff, I strongly recommend that you get an underwater camera before trying to photograph the Falls from both these places. If I ever come here again, I will make sure to have one. They issue blue ponchos on Maid of the Mist and yellow ponchos at Cave of the Winds. With everyone in blue or yellow ponchos climbing up ...

      Niagara Falls was a lot of fun. The falls itself were amazing. Viewing them from the Canada side was much better than from the US side (which I have done when I was younger). I highly recommend doing the Maid of the Mist tour. You get on a boat that literally sails right up to the mouth of the falls. You will get soaked but it's well worth it. The water is freezing and stays that cold year-round.

      ... to the public. Got downstairs at 9 o'clock as arranged but, true to form, Mike and Lynne didn't turn up till 10, and the day's timing never recovered. In the meantime we sat around and watched the hotel staff argue with the delivery people about how the arch was to go up, how the flowers were to be arranged, and where the projector screens were to be put. However, the chairs were all out, so that was a good start.
