... Head....the Magnolia trees and the live oaks trees with there spanish moss drooping on the limbs.....the old south is a great place to be, great in southern history, plantations of old (does it sound like I miss being here)...I really do, even with the high humidity and the threats of hurricanes blowing in from the Atlantic. Hilton Head is a huge tourist town, very busy...along with the traffic of a tourist town....but the beach attracts a lot of visitors along with ...

Back at the hotel, Esme noted that this is a "fancy hotel…it has a ...

... the lobby for a refresher after our long walk. The pillows are so soft and after an entire vacation of downright terrible pillows I cannot wait to put my head on those! My only complaint would be that the valet parking is $20 a day but you can park in the garage (public) right behind the hotel and so we did that. The downside is that during the day it is marked “FULL” until afternoon where it will be available. They said its to accommodate workers ...

We'd done quite a lot of research on Savannah before our trip but nothing could have prepared us for the beauty of this city in the South and the welcome we received. We had been kindly invited to spend the weekend with our friend Dyanne Reece and her husband Benjamin. Dyanne had invited us to visit when she was President of IIMC and she and Benjamin really showed us the meaning of Southern Hospitality. Our visit coincided with St Patrick's Day for ...
