... an amazing toy shop, a local supermarket , the botanical Gardens and a visit to the United Nations Headquarters. it was closed for the weekend but had a lively demonstration happening outside by a large group of Syrians , chanting their disgust with what's happening in their homeland! For a big city it was very quiet, not a lot of traffic or people ...
After spending one day in the beautiful city of Geneva, I've observed a few things:
1. Geneva is very similar to France; specifically the architecture, food, and language.
2. More Swiss people speak English and are willing to use it than in Paris.
... visit to the Olympic museum was a disappointment due to the fact that the museum was closed for renovations. We managed to take a stroll around the Olympic park which consists of the gardens between the museum and Lake Geneva and a number of sport related sculptures. The site of the Olympic flame is also within the borders of the park. The museum was founded on the 23rd June 1993 by Juan Antonio Samaranch. After 23 months of renovation the museum reopened on the 21st December 2013
