... vines of what looks like poison ivy, and the underbrush impenetrable with 20 foot tall rhododendron bushes. There are also Christmas tree farms bigger than any I have ever seen with perfectly manicured rows on precariously steep slopes. I wonder what kind of machine or labor must be required to keep rows of tall trees in such good order. A lesson learned is that a long riding day must be followed by a shorter one. Yesterday was a driving day, we set off from Nashville and other than a stop for lunch when we stopped at a park and played football or frisbee we drove for most of the day and went to Virginia. Tbh, there is not much else to say about this day - the pictures speak for themselves! The guides equipped use with whiteboard pens for a bit of window doodling. Free drink for correct guess on what my beautiful piece of artwork is - maybe I can cross another career off the list ...
