    ... made my way into Pine Furnace State Park to partake in the "half gallon challenge".     ... food really quite edible and bags arrived unscathed. Can't ask much more than that!

    Arrived at Casa Calma Hotel at 6am. Avery small boutique hotel that is enviromentaly friendly. Easy to spot in the street as the whole hotel is covered with a hanging garden!

    ... an oil change. On the back to the campground we went through Allentown and Bethlehem. There are some nice parts of both towns but there seem to be a lot more not-so-good parts.     ... than a magnetic strip; we hope the US credit card companies soon adopt this safer system.

    Canadians love to mow their lawns; even those with more than an acre of land use their riding mowers to keep the grass looking beautiful. It rains enough here that sprinklers aren't necessary to keep the lawns looking green and lush. We found almost all communities to be neat, clean and organized, showing pride of home ownership.

    ... we rode 845 kms from Bristol, Virginia through West Virginia, Maryland and finally Pennsylvania straight up Interstate 81. It was overcast all day and we did encounter some drizzling rain but only for about an hour.
