    ... too bad, but in some spots the freeways slowed down a bit. The slowest part was along Santa Monica Boulevard, where it was nose to tail and the last few miles took about 20 minutes. Beverly Hills was on out left so we had some amazing streetscape a and homes to look at as we crawled along. We are staying in West Hollywood, just off Santa Monica and Melrose boulevards. Glider planes flew over our head( Air planes with no engines that are towed behind motorized planes until they reach a speed and altitude where they are self sufficient) , close enough to see the pilot looking down and waving at us.     ... Disney Concert Hall - a gift to the city from (Mrs) Lillian Disney. Santa Monica and Venice Beach are both easily accessible from the LA CBD and once you get there it is an enjoyable walk - watching the characters on the walkway and people exercising on the beach. This chain was founded in California and is still owned by the granddaughter of the founders.
