... They are delighted, so I call in our car load of hopeful kiwi coffee drinkers to which we nearly fill the cafe. We are ushered outside and place our order. Chuck and Amalia have lived here since they were school age, worked in the now closed up factories, so now serve Italian deli foods to the locals....one of whom is an ex kiwi. We feel very loved. Our lattes arrive in true Italian style.
My aunt and uncle came over for New Year's Day instead of Christmas. My other aunt, uncle and cousin came over sometime before that. I hung out with the Girl Guide leaders another day and Aleasha and Bill came over a few days before. So it kind of spread all the visiting and parties out a bit. It was more relaxed that way.
My first hike of the year was to the train tunnel in Welland where it was spooky, windy and icy.

On Jim recommendation, we also stopped by a nearby historic area of the Erie Canal. While not visually exciting, it is historically interesting to see. I am glad we were able to check this out.
Once again, after a quick lunch, we were off to our next stop, Cooperstown!
