Nice hotel; reasonable rate; very clean; friendly staff. Picked it for its location right next to hwy 29 heading north to Canada.

Yes, it was that kind of day.

It was a lot cooler and overcast this morning so I layered up before heading out. From Wall, SD I headed directly south on hwy. 240 and within half an hour I was in Badlands National Park. I've been here a couple of times previously and the beauty of it still overwhelms me. From a motorcyclist's perspective …

The countdown is on. Shots are finished, passport arrived, new luggage, camera and we are off. I hope the weather is great as we travel to North Dakota to get on the plane. Traveling north in the winter is always iffy.
I could even pack my bags now if need be. I don't think I will be needing sandals and capri's here with the weekend temps to reach -30 :).

I am back home now. It is early morning, yet for some reason jet lag hasn't been too cruel-no waking up in the middle of the night. I have had a week of long periods of time to reflect and look back on what happened the past three months. I share those here in good business-like manner-bullet points.
