    Great Place to Stay

I have really enjoyed my stay at this hotel so far. It is not the most lavish by any means, but the staff is very friendly (especially Dantise) and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. They offer free breakfast and wifi. All in all, it was exactly what I wanted.

Loved staying at the Comfort Inn! We usually pick Choice Hotels b/c we get points that we can use for our business. This Hotel has all the charm of any Boutique hotel. The entire staff was impressive! They went above and beyond their jobs. We Liked being close to P street restaurants and walking distance to Monuments/Museums.

Another day, Another trip, Another City. The journey today takes us to Washington DC, the current home of Mr. Obama no less. As with all of the journeys and or days they are split into various sections. This morning, we are off to Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson no less. The third president of the United States. Thomas Jefferson for those …

Well today was another great day in the Capital. I have become quite fond of DC. Its clean and tidy, I love the stone everywhere. On buildings, on floors, on doorways, park benches are made out of it, its everywhere and in so many different forms and textures.

The people are so very friendly, and that's not just the tourists the workers have been very friendly too, very polite - excuse me! That is everyone except the bus driver ...

... about the traffic around DC. We got a cab, (an adventure in itself)
and went to Union Station, where we got tickets on the trolley tour thing. At thirty
something dollars a ticket it’s a bit pricey, but it does go pretty much
everywhere that tourists would be brave enough to want to see. Additionally, we
had been giving Sam’s gammy leg a bit of a workout, especially the previous day
at Arlington, and it would ...

No updates at 38,000 feet for fear of causing a mobile phone-induced engine malfunction. However, we are now safely landed on American soil (God bless it). Took us nearly an hour to clear immigration. The queue snaked up and down the hall, doubling up on itself and back again. An American passport was the equivalent of having a fast entry pass on the rides at Alton Towers. As we ...

We then walked through the servants quarters – a modest abode where servants of visitors cooked for themselves and slept and then through a colonnade of arches with a roof – the arches beautifully framed the view of the lawns and the Ptomic River at the back of ...
