      Great Place to Stay

I have really enjoyed my stay at this hotel so far. It is not the most lavish by any means, but the staff is very friendly (especially Dantise) and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. They offer free breakfast and wifi. All in all, it was exactly what I wanted.

Loved staying at the Comfort Inn! We usually pick Choice Hotels b/c we get points that we can use for our business. This Hotel has all the charm of any Boutique hotel. The entire staff was impressive! They went above and beyond their jobs. We Liked being close to P street restaurants and walking distance to Monuments/Museums.

      Hello readers,

You know those days where you wake up in your warm, comfortable bed and just don’t want to get out of it? Yeah, today was totally one of those days for me. I set an alarm for eight because I didn’t want to end up sleeping all day, but unfortunately, once I turned it off, I went straight back to sleep. So much for …

      Hail from Washington D.C.!

I arrived this morning in Washington D.C., and I have had a total blast so far. The morning didn't necessarily start out so great, as I ended up getting lost trying to find my hotel from the train station, and as a result, ended up walking over two miles instead of the 1.5 it was supposed to be. I'm not exactly …

... wasn't Emma's room! Nick had misread the key card and we had found the presidential suite with the door open. Too funny. Walked to the White House at night and chatted to the permanent peace protestor hippy guy there, the only one allowed there after being there for 31 years living out of a little white tent with newspaper clippings all over the front. Turned in for ...

... when new people get on and it eventually gets boring but I stay put even when we are done with a whole loop tour. I finally get off at the White House, somehow make my way through the countless groups of people and I have my pictures taken here as well. Duh. And really, selfie's are awesome on such occasions, too.

Eventually, I hop onto another one of these sightseeing buses and allow myself to once again ...

      Washington DC - war memorials

Today we took on the war memorials. Wow, I didn't know there were that many in this city, and each one is so cleverly designed and thought provoking. We thought it'd best to take a tour and have someone tell us all about the history of them. But, when your tour bus turns up, it's a black van, a shaddy character behind the wheel and you're the only ones to board, well you feel rather apprehensive! Thankfully looks can be ...
