I have really enjoyed my stay at this hotel so far. It is not the most lavish by any means, but the staff is very friendly (especially Dantise) and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. They offer free breakfast and wifi. All in all, it was exactly what I wanted.

Loved staying at the Comfort Inn! We usually pick Choice Hotels b/c we get points that we can use for our business. This Hotel has all the charm of any Boutique hotel. The entire staff was impressive! They went above and beyond their jobs. We Liked being close to P street restaurants and walking distance to Monuments/Museums.

Another day, Another trip, Another City. The journey today takes us to Washington DC, the current home of Mr. Obama no less. As with all of the journeys and or days they are split into various sections. This morning, we are off to Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson no less. The third president of the United States. Thomas Jefferson for those …

... the world war 2 memorial Fountain which when lit up at night was stunning. We walked along the reflection pool that runs between the World War Two memorial and the Lincoln memorial. By the time we'd climbed the stairs to Lincoln you had a lovely view across the reflection pool with the Washington monument in the water. So pretty. It was then time for us to head back to camp and everyone was pretty wiped out so we all crashed fairly ...

We check in to the Embassy Suites then head out for a stroll. We get to P Street and things are starting to look familiar. I walked down this street once a few years ago and went to a pretty cool bar. So I take Helen to the "Beer Baron" for a drink. Choosing a drink in this place isn't as easy as you'd think as they have over 600 beers to choose from. Yeah really! Day 2 is spent around Georgetown. For those who don't know the place it's an affluent ...

... is very old and beautiful.

Our first stop was the White House. Barack must have forgotten our invitation for morning tea as he wasn't there to greet us. We took all the normal photos and it was interesting to see the vegetable garden and bee hives from the street. We could also see that all the trees were wired with alarms at the top. It was amazing to see a building that you see so often in the news.

( the monument is under repair so couldn't have access to it) Continuing our journey we walked to the Lincoln Memorial, this was an excellent memorial very impressive .... Lincoln must have been 30 foot high. Martin Luther King gave ...
