    ... We took photos with the Hollywood sign then headed back to the hotel in preparation for our flight the next day. Our wake up the next morning was to pounding on the next door over and shouts of LAPD open up! Then sounds of a struggle and we're not here to arrest you.     ... we were too late for the muscles but did get a sneak peak at some back alley seediness, had a great meal at an Egyptian falafel joint & saw the sunset over Santa Monica Pier. We then cruised, as you do in a family SUV whilst desperately hoping she'll stay asleep just another 10 miles, along the pacific highway past some of the northern SOCAL (aka Southern California) beaches home.
