    We had a leisurely day of driving through gorgeous Quebec today with an ever changing palate of fall colors. On the smaller highways, we wound our way through quaint little towns and chess-board like fields of pumpkins, corn and cabbage. Lots of milk cows and chicken farms, but the chickens operations didn't appear to have any free range, free roam or free will.     Our plan was to visit the oldest forge in Canada but when we got there it was closed for the season. Because it was raining we did visit one more Notre Dame Cathedral and then did a driving tour of the city. No pictures were taken today because of the poor weather conditions.     On to Montreal and Nicolet! After Montreal, traffic was reasonable. There were lots of motorcyclists getting soaked!! Lots of three-wheeled bikes, among them.
