At Levis we hit the autoroute what a difference - yikes very busy and lots of trucks definitely a well used thoroughfare from east to further east!

We night in Drummondville - looks like another great day weather wise

Bit nervous about the autoroutes into and past Montreal - I think I have the directions correct first 20, then 30 then 40 then......417!! that sounds familiar!!

Sad as it was, we had to leave Montreal - it had been a fantastic week.

Many many thanks to everyone who invited us to their homes and hearts, not forgetting the lovely meals. We will miss you all very much.

Our next destination took us north-east to the village of Ste-Elie De Caxton to the home of Normand and ...

We had breakfast at the hotel and started our trek home at 10:30 am. It's been a different kind of holiday, cold ,damp and muddy weather but together as a loving family. Staying mostly indoors, with warm clothes and rubber boots was the theme for the week. This week will go down as one of our most unique holidays. Lunch today -chez Timmy . Finally home at 6:30pm to hot muggy weather in beautiful St Hubert . Home Sweet ...

When a cruise ship comes to a small port such as this, the citizens roll out the red carpet. Such friendliness - en deux langues! I always thought that the name referred to a meeting of the St. Lawrence, the Rivière Saint-Maurice and one other river. It turns out that the name originates with the belief of early explorers that there were ...

... seeing the Rosa Parks bus, even Kaitlin can explain a little about what when on during the 1960's in US history. It's inspiring to see them learn this way.

Other moments we have seized have been accidental although always in the back of my mind are "teachable moments". At Walmart they had oversized placemats. One was US Presidents and another a map of USA. The kids can pick the 12 states we've already been to and I imagine will know ...
