    Mom and I had a leisurely 5 hour drive from Kelliher, SK to Swift Current, Sk. We stopped in Chaplin to take a tour of the nature centre. They had some great bird displays and lots of pelicans which are abundant on Lake Manitou and at many locations in Saskatchewan.

    We set off from Calgary after a huge day at the stampede and made our way across the prairie country into the province of Sashatchewan. Everyone had told us that there was not much to see but we enjoyed the vast plains with the green and golden crops.     ... skating competition and finished 2nd - super proud moment - Lots of Christmas parties - mostly for the kids.     Nice trip down the road from Peerless via North Battleford and on to Swift Current. 6 hours 550 kms almost in a straight line. Connected up with Brenda at the Casino (Living Sky) then down the road to Wymark or so we thought, but 24 kms down a track we find the cabin on the shore of Lac Pelletier.
