... me to confirm that I really did just leave one gift trap, I mean shop. I’m pretty sure I can hear the bus starting on the other side of the building, but there’s only one way to get there. Through the store!

I’d love to say that I held fast and ran with blinders on for the exit, not stopping to fondle the carved this and that on table tops, or to ponder whether my son would like the hand woven bracelet ...

... bridge tender called us on 09 VHF and said that traffic was light and he'd be happy to let us pass! Of course, we were thrilled to accept his considerate offer. For any bridge -- and especially this one, with a nasty reputation for its sometimes surly operators -- such considerations are rare. Thank you, kind sir! (Tip of the hat)

Our start this rnorning found us aground in the mouth of Jeremy Creek after leaving Leland Oil dock in McClellansville, SC. While this wasn't on our plan it did provide the opportunity to eat a nice breakfast, coming unstuck from the oatmeal-like bottom just as we finished the last of our coffee. From then on the day unfolded as planned, catching the tides just right and hitting all waypoints on schedule. The incoming tide carried us up Winyah Bay and we actually sailed ...

Repairs done... Necessary repair to engine & fortunate to have Just the guy for the job. Ernie the mechanic, came this morning just as promised. I took the opportunity to walk around Georgetown again. Beautiful day, but cold. Sun out but no relief in weather, so will move on ...

... Ron did this only to find the primary Racor filter was almost completely clogged, primarily from detritus and algae that had broken loose during our rough ride the other day. Looks like we will be here at least another day here to fix this. This isn't a problem and both Maggie and I feel better having discovered this while tied to a dock rather than out in the boonies in some remote location. Tonight is forecast to be cold but not as cold as last ...
