... on Thurs 27th, which was Thanksgiving day. We were staying about 2 hours out of Chicago with a friend of Kathy's whom she had not seen for 32 years. The talking started when we arrived on the Tuesday afternoon and was enjoyed for the next few days until we left on the Friday. There was several inches of snow covering the ground and houses and the neighbourhood looked like a typical winter's scene on a Christmas card - at least to us! The temperature never went above freezing ...

... the family were out-of-towners. My sis Jan (Andy's godmother) and her husband flew in from Simi Valley, California. Uncle Don, Andy's godfather drove up from Ocala, Florida. Andy's Aunts and Uncles and cousins drove up from Chicago. Most of the family made it, sorry everyone couldn't be there.

We couldn't of asked for a more beautiful day. The weather was perfect and everything went as planned with no problems.

It's funny how this came about. 2 girlfriends planned on getting fun tattoos on their ankles. They said "why don’t you get one Alena…maybe in honor of your mom". At 35 years old I thought I had reached a point of NEVER EVER getting one. Not to mention THE PAIN!
