First month wrap-up of Foodstuffs
This post will serve two purposes:
... photos & then asked us if they could have their photo taken with us & took It in turns to have their photo taken with us by several people in their group. Hope they didn't think we were a celebrity couple (only knows who!!) Their English wasn't good enough to find out why they were so keen but all they kept saying was how handsome our boys are! ... Francisco..just gorgeous. Will definitely come here again. We also met two Racoons up there ..scavenging the rubbish bin...they were huge. Look at the pick ..think they get well fed. Lots of funny smells up there..cigars, marijuana ...and maybe herbal ones too! Mixture of different ages, races and sexual persuasions! All enjoying the great view. We head back down the hills ..and go up and down the steep streets to the motel. ...
... just collapsed until the day after. Didn't even get to see Rebecca, that arrived later that night.
On Saturday we went all California, and went to the Salinas Rodeo (pronounced like rodeo drive). It started with a horse show in Selinas' main street and then the actual rodeo, which was cool except for the part they tied the calves. There was some hilarious bits, like little kids 4-6 years old riding ship, like bulls, trying to stay on. At some point I went to the museum, ...
... and drove out of this wonderful preserve.
We had turned our attention to our next stop- Carmel Mission Inn, our accommodation for the next two nights. Although not in the Carmel-by-the-Sea area, it is a nice hotel and has most of the amenities we need close by – such as a post office and a supermarket.
