    I got up this morning and enjoyed a shower cold enough to give someone hypothermia. It was a rough start to the day. Breakfast was at a little cafe in what could basically be considered an industrial park, near our hotel. I had a breakfast burrito the size of a small dog. Laurie had huevos rancheros. Everything was homemade, including the tortillas. Little hole in the wall diners sometimes bring forth amazing things.

    ... we had the bar to ourselves as we watched the first pitch thrown of the 2013 world series. We did leave the warmth of the bar to go and see the famous Monterey Wharf. The wharf is covered in restaurants and souvenier shops. The unique thing a out each restaurant is that they try an intice you inside by free offerings of their clam chowder.     ... Francisco..just gorgeous. Will definitely come here again. We also met two Racoons up there ..scavenging the rubbish bin...they were huge. Look at the pick ..think they get well fed. Lots of funny smells up there..cigars, marijuana ...and maybe herbal ones too! Mixture of different ages, races and sexual persuasions! All enjoying the great view. We head back down the hills ..and go up and down the steep streets to the motel. ...
