Saturday, September 14 - Today is the day we get to see Lilly! We left Sacramento and drove by Suisun Bay just northeast of Oakland and San Francisco, CA. This is where many of the Navy ships are left at anchor when they are de-commmissioned. It is called the Suisun Bay Ship Graveyard. I went to see the Beautiful Monterey Peninsula. It was clean, well run, and progressive. There is no stench like those of other fishing bays. No fish guts or flies festering on the hot sand beaches. The place was filled with restaurants, antique shops, and that kind of lot.
