... him a fifty cent piece for the entertainment. We had also managed to see the red coats firing their muskets into the air and all the other characters on set like school teachers and their pupils and the local police and prisoners walking about. We bought a two day pass which incuded the Gold Museum across the road and the Eureka Centre which we visited the very next day. Well it's time to blog off and the next time we blog we will be in Tasmania. Yaaaaaaaay! Bye for now.
Ballarat, Victoria, Australia serenitynowSunday morning I went to Fullerton College to attend my daughter's graduation. It was a complete surprise to her, she had no idea that I was going to be in California. My daughter Kari has achieved so much and I am an incredibly proud father. I attended the graduation with Kari's mother, Lynn, her husband, Jason, and Kari's two children, my grandchildren, Cierra and Jason Jr. The ceremony ...
Ballarat, California, United States fatoldbiker... head say. "Leave the base and come back for dinner." I thought how do I know if I should listen to this.. but I heard the same thing again. So with overwhelming tears I put on my shades and grabbed my bag. I walked off the base and went to Mailing Rd. I thought I will have lunch and coffee there today. I walked out of the confines of the Ywam base.. and walked really fast... the further away I got .. the more I felt at peace.. I was thinking. "I'm really ...
Mailing Rd., Australia carolinesheart... eyes). So in the city of Melbourne I saw the major highights...Melbourne museum, Fitzroy garden, Yarra River, Queen Victoria markets and St. Kilda Festival (a full day event with bands, rides, market stalls, skating competitions etc.). One random activity worth mentioning was Bogan Bingo. This was Bingo not for grannies in nursing homes but for "young adults". Bogan btw is another word for "redneck or hick". This ...
Melbourne, Australia avedawg314... you know the kind where you can move the mouth from the other end of the stick? Very scary), but decided against it.

Melbourne, Australia heliwalker... beer.....it tasted suspiciously like export gold...Moonlight cinema is held in the Botanical gardens and it is on everynight over the summer. We are planning a few more outings there in the not so distant future. The movie was pretty average, but the company was good, location was great and the lollies were a treat.Oh I nearly forgot to mention our Christmas tree, or our attempt to make our flat feel xmasy...We have cut it out of green wrapping paper and bluetacked it to the ...
Melbourne, Australia lillireneei.e. what the hell am I doing in Ballarat, VIC, Australia?? I got dropped off here by my sleepy hitchhiker picker upper guy (who I drove most of the way for), because of my blisters preventing me from hiking the gramps. I made my way all the way around the Gramps, and here I am in desert-dry Ballarat, where the huge lake has been sucked dry, leaving nothing but a large grassy plain with harbours around it. Ballarat has about one-hundred thousand, but they ...
Ballarat, Australia fourloves... sends out a spike which looks like a kangaroo tail. The view from the top was pretty and we watched the water cascade over a 40m cliff into a deep blue pool. After MacKenzie Falls we visited the very pretty Boken Falls which is a few hundred metres away. The falls cascade in a number of separate falls into pools which then fall into other pools. Both the Falls are part of the large resevoir system which keeps the area supplied with water. We continued to retrace our route ...
