Comfort Inn & Suites Brandywine Valley West Chester

Got up this morning early so we could have a quick shower then head into the city with Andy on his way to work for a few hours.

When we got dropped off it started to rain a little so Andy loaned us his Umbrella which turned out to be a life saver for the rest of the day.

... in quick time along with a Choc iced Donut with a few H&T on it (Things Tai!)
The Donut was big like the old Dunkin's ones and the choc on them is darker than at home making a sweet brekky for me.

We hit the subway during peak time and found ourselves standing most of the way until a popular station when we got a seat. Too much like Melbourne trains and I was dreading the thought when we return......but enough of that thought for now!

Just a quick one to say hi to all my mates from another US city of the revolution (a couple of hundred years ago) now the city of Brotherly Love & soft cheese ! Have spent a few days eating and drinking and catching up with Andy's former life / acquaintances etc - lots of rowing talk and seemingly collecting specimens for a stacked boat at Henley 2010. Back to London on Monday night and work shortly thereafter yeuck.

... and I would have liked to have seen the bell... but, oh well, next time maybe :)

The theatre we were playing was the Irvine Auditorium at University of Pennsylvania. The space was gorgeous. Not a lot of stage or wing space, but the theatre itself was stunning. Clearly it used to be a Cathedral, and now is used for orchestral concerts (amazing accoustics!) and theatre. Funny how that seems to be a recurring theme in history :)

Day 5 Thursday The Empire State Building... we pay and go to the top...us and 1000 other visitors! Only about a 45 minute wait. Wow! A great look from the top!
