Our seats are 3 rows down from the top of the bleachers, seats 1 & 2. Randomers come and speak to you and maybe they're being friendly but I'd rather not converse with strangers after sunset on a weed-smelling street with homeless people dancing. It was pretty dark so we couldn't make much of the actual beach but the sand felt nice so that's a bonus. We came back and just chilled in our little cave with the door that goes over the ...

... being a caring new friend with no other intentions; yet, as I write this blog entry I'm wondering about my ability to decipher acts of genuine kindness from acts of manipulation. Is it best to be trusting as to not miss out on the chance at an exchange of humanity and friendship? Or is it better to "trust no one" (because I am certainly just being naive)? How can I find a balance?
