    ... we were able to close the bags without having to expand them.

    We said farewell to Madge about 11.40 and headed off towards Chicago O'Hare Airport. Bought some lunch to have on the way there. We stopped at Sand Dunes National Park Information Centre for lunch at their picnic tables. The sky was cloudy but the temperature was a warm 72 F although the wind had a bit of bite to it.

    ... It is really hot now too. We passed by by a nuclear reactor that provides energy. It was like two concrete domes sitting on the coast line. It was recently closed as it was found to have a leak recently and the employees no longer work there. We were given a brief on Camp Pendolton which is the biggest base for Marines.     ... in Australia. I make my way back to my hotel with my backpack weighing me down, It's about a 15 minutes walk.

    I arrive at my hotel and walk through the big glass door of the entrance, buzz the elevator and make my way up to my room. Today's adventure was great, now its time for a rest as I fall straight on my bed exhausted. So be ready for day 7.
