... room to get to the 'Jack in the Box' near to the motel. Everyone knows the best cure for a hangover is a shed load of greasy food and I duly obliged. About 10lbs of meat, 3 gallons of coke and a million chips later, I was done and feeling a whole lot better.

In the afternoon, I decided to go back to those shops that I had only been able to peer into yesterday. This time though, I pulled out all the stops and went on a bit of a ...
Madison, Georgia, United States hollidayArrived on Friday (Sept,11th) evening and set ourselves up in a shady, stream side site in Hard Labor Creek State Park. The name comes from the Indians many years ago saying it was hard labor to cross the river (creek). We found no 'hard labor' in any of our stay. The Town is charming with great historic value and flare. The State Park is large and the campground is huge. RV sites, tents, great fully furnished cabins, and an ...
Rutledge, Georgia, United States jodieandandyI wanted to spend more time in Athens, but because of all the problems going on, plans kind of got extremely disorganized and we went to Athens on a whim.

We basically ended up in a bar and grabbed dinner at The Grit (famous for vegetarian cuisine), while briefly cruising around town.

I felt sad and sentimental that I didn't get to tour it more, but then again I felt relief; I have another university to call my own, for I am also a NYU graduate. ;)
We stopped at the new Barrow Publix for some dinner and milk. The kids got to play with the neighbors while we unloaded the car.

Whew!
Bogart, Georgia, United States jspringeI am sooooo excited to meet my friends Kimie and Stefan (and Signe) of course in New York! It will definitely be the highlight of my summer. I can't wait because it has been almost a year since I have gotten to see them! I miss them a ton! Plus, I'm so pumped to be able to show them around Athens and Atlanta because they are such great cities. I'll see you guys in a few short weeks! LG, Lauren
Lawrenceville, Georgia, United States snkise... Gardens - they'd just had their first big downpour of rain after three years drought, so the gardeners we met were very happy. We then drove down South Carolina's heritage train - Route 78. We were very excited to see our first fronds of Spanish Moss in a hollow - so atmospheric! We stopped in Williston to get snacks and beverages for lunch, and it was certainly an eye-opener. The supermarket stocked little other than grits, pig ears, chitterlings and ...

Borrowed from quotegarden.com and www.giga-usa.com It is not down in any map; true places never are. ~Herman Melville There are only two emotions in a plane: boredom and terror. ~Orson Welles (that made me laugh out loud. Athens, Georgia, United States stillettotrekThank you to everyone who came to Mama Sid's! I know it must have been hard to come all the way to the eastside. Afterwards we headed to salsa night at the Ritz where Ross and Zach pimped us out! Enjoy the pics. Tomorrow I will commence my journey and I am so excited and nervous!!!!
Athens, Georgia, United States pattyv... situated on several small hills, with lots of trees, and all of the RV sites have redwood decks with picnic tables and BBQs. We luckily got a great spot, right next to the lake, close to one of the pools, not far from the general store, and with a beautiful view! Terry could almost roll out of bed, into his boat, to go fishing. And the very best part is that it only costs us $8.00 per night (Coast to Coast price)! The only fly in the ointment, is that we ...
