... defiant they were to certain death in the name of Texan and American freedom. We then did the impressive river walk which was really well done and maintained, making for a good stroll around San Antonio. Apart from this there wasn't too much more to do in San Antonio so we left and followed the Spanish mission trail which the Spanish settlers took when they arrived in America and Christianised the natives. ... and 5 miles to several old missions in the other direction. On Friday we hopped the bus to Riverwalk and the Alamo. I didn’t realize how big the riverwalk area is! We took a tour boat ride on the river which gave us a good overview of the entire area, then started walking. So many restaurants and cafés, so little time! We finally chose one for snacks and a drink, then on to the Alamo. Back on ...
