After a joyous two wondrous days of resting at the couples resort in Ontario, we woke up early to begin the not so wondrous event of driving for 12 hours.

The views while driving from Ontario through Quebec were SPECTACULAR!!! The leaves were in varying levels of changing. It was as if Bob Ross had an itch to paint his 'happy trees' but …

We agreed to sample as many flavors as possible, so we each ordered different entrees to pass and started with an interesting appetizer of smoked heritage pork tenderloin, lamb shank terrine and chicken liver pate. Arctic char, Atlantic scallops, wild black sea bass and hanger steak were our chosen entrees, along with sides of asparagus and bright garden carrots. We finished the meal with rhubarb galette and dark chocolate torte.

They are kind of like a cul-de-sac surrounded by small "houses," each interconnected with the adjacent, and a car-port with a heavy curtain for a garage door. ... the morning we headed down to Portland City for a spot of lunch and shopping. However, for some reason I woke up and took a turn for the worse and really didn't feel well all day! I don't know what happened and why I couldn't stomach anything, but I am still recovering. Anyhow, after lunch we went shopping around Portland which was great! It reminds me of what I have seen if Boston already. It looked a lot like Beacon Hill as well! I treated ,y self to a new ...

    Camp Life in Maine USA

... big rides (I just stuck to the log flumes!). Later in the afternoon you can enjoy a cold drink looking out onto the beach listening to the live music being played by the beach.

All in all I would recommend Maine as family holiday destination as many people rent houses and villas by the lake and I also recommend going to a camp in Maine as it is so scenic and peaceful and pretty. You won't find another state like it :)
