On our way to Galveston we got caught in traffic so we opted for an adventure in the form of a detour. What a surprising view. The Gulf roughly lapping the shores; beautiful homes on stilts, pastel colors of beach community homes were easy on the eye. I wish more of them were caught in pictures. ... We all flew into Houston, TX and stayed the night at a nearby airport. Super Shuttle provided us with a point to point transfer to the Galveston cruise terminal the next morning.
