Wednesday, August 20, 2014 Truck 72,770 Trip 12,761

When I woke up Buddy was under the van of a guy who had broken down in the Walmart parking lot. He was glad to unpack tools, get all sweaty and greasy. The older guy, walking with a cane, came over and told me that I was married to a special guy...yep, I know. We walked through a couple of the stores in the Pigeon Forge area, like Smoky Mountain ...

Really hate the fact that I have no phone ...

... classic and new. Really enjoyed it. Then we headed for the hills and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Started off great but were gradually engulfed in cloud. It got so bad we were creeping along at about 15km/hr. So headed down out of the mountains outside of Roanoke, did a little shopping at Camping World and headed to TN. It is so great to ...

... We hiked 4 miles, came across some trail magic - hot chocolate, power jelly beans, chips, and nice/comfortable sitting chairs......awesome treat. And to top off things - Voo-Doo showed up, was great seeing her, she had taken off 9 days to hang with friends. 2 more miles of hiking, then off to the hostel - have to let this foot rest, it is not getting better. Warm bed, burgers, and great company tonight.....a good way to recover ...
