When I woke up Buddy was under the van of a guy who had broken down in the Walmart parking lot. He was glad to unpack tools, get all sweaty and greasy. ... It's also nice to be back in an area of the country that we can very much relate to the down country Southern twang in the speech patterns.
Another nearly 500 miles today, and only appx. 450 to go tomorrow. Another traffic jam outside Knoxville today, for two days in a row of shut down stopped traffic. This one was due to our third accident viewed on this nearly 7500 mile journey.

Wednesday April 16, One more zero day at Hemlock Hollow Inn. I was going to head out this morning, but the leg is still a little tender. Not too tender, but I am thinking it is better to allow my leg to fully recover - because it keeps costing me zero days! Tomorrow hopefully will be the beginning of long mile days, and some great night hikes! As for today, playing with the hostels dogs, and doing some light helping around the place.
