Well, here we are. Less than 24 hours 'til departure.

My flights are checked in. My bags are (mostly) packed, with a little help from Watarimono. My VPN is set up, my Yuan is purchased, I've made my lists and checked them (more than) twice. I'm ready to set out on what promises to be quite the adventure.

The trouble is my linguistic and my impersonating skills are quite superb so I had to say I don't really speak French and we are finding the rural Quebecans think more like French than the French and quite a lot can't speak any English, or don't want to. My best impersonation ever was at Kate & Dan's wedding where I started my father of the bride speech as Frank Spencer. Went over a treat ...

Day two was chilly but sunny. Over night the tooth fairy arrived to collect Collins recently lost tooth. We had a quick breakfast across the street at Tims and headed out to the Biodome via Subway. We wandered through a rainforest, with monkeys, tropical birds, turtles, a vulture, crocodiles and piranhas. After this there was a short exhibit of bats in a dark habitat. Thne we entered the Laurentian forest which reminded me of Bowering Park. It ...

... food! Before getting in, I went to the nearby city centre as well as the port to have a walk. It's a really nice walk. If you walk to the south of the port, you can see the very artistic building - the Habitat 67. In the more northern part of the port, there is a performance of some sort of Zombie dance, it's really funny looking at the people promoting and drawing attraction by sending a group of "Zombies" to limp near the blocks of red cargos that they use for the ...
