... for about 70 miles advertising for "South of the Border". The ads were hilarious so we thought we should stop in at this store. When we got there it was a mini city. Everything from rides to an alligator exhibition. Too funny. We stopped in Roanoke Rapids for the night. No rain but overcast and humid. Had a late dinner then went to the hot tub for a bit. Not a hot tub, more like a warm tub. Staying at The RV Resorts @ Carolina Crossroads. Very new, but very nice for $30 ...

Gail made a homemade Vodka sauce pasta. Yummy. And guess what? The rain held off for us as well! Woo ...

I wish they could have finished tried and true, but they also disintegrated to the point that I could no longer ignore my toes sticking out or the cold metal of the pedals on my feet. It was the cold weather that finally made me give in. I could feel it too much. My good old bike shoes gave all they had like a ...

After the perfect day on the water, and Christian & his wife arrived, we cooked some crappies and sat out on the balcony eating fish & salads and drinking a beer, and we watched the sun setting over the lake.
