    ... city's bus station at night. So, we booked to stay overnight in Houston and get the next bus the following day. Justin also booked us tickets to the San Antonio Rodeo - we arrive on the first day!

    We finally left the hotel, had an average lunch at Mr B's Bistro, then Justin went to get his haircut while I went to the New Orleans School of Cooking to see if I could join their 2pm ...

    The museum does the work few history books could. It uses visuals and audios of people and events leading up to the war, highlighting the sacrifices and leadership involved and it marches you through the defining battles that shaped the outcome. The 4D movies ...

    Today has been an extraordinary day and it ended late, again. We found ourselves dinner at a well known restaurant, only to have an extra ordinary meal. It turns out that the well renown chef had died a few weeks ago, and it appears that whoever is trying to now run it, has no idea how to continue ...

    ... and some gumbo which was okay but not great. Then we headed to this bar on Bourbon Street and we all got Hand Grenades, advertised as the strongest drink in New Orleans. They were delicious, tasted like Midori but definitely strong lol! In each drink was a little plastic grenade, and there was baskets above the bar to throw them in. Of course, it all ended in a full out war between each side of the bar and they were thrown for a good half hour ...

    ... in Louisiana! Had a few good conversations with people as I stopped at different areas - that helped make the day go by quicker. Tomorrow it will be off to New Orleans and a few swamps as we make our way West, towards Texas. Kinda a boring write up but, that's the way it goes some times. Time turn on the gas heater and lean the seat back - you all have a kick-butt night :) ...
