Musical highlight of the night was a guy in a cowboy hat playing a sort of slap bass style on an acoustic guitar with at least two kinds of pickups wired to it while beat boxing and singing in various voices. Impressive technically, but also musically awesome. After that the night descended into "3-for-1" specials (which cost three times as much) with various locals and tourists and eventually stumbling home. After hearing about the racism scandal in the newspapers in New Orleans, Charley and I headed that way. I met a few people who were quite racist in their views, which I frown upon. All of that negativity and chaos made me feel a weary kind of nausea.
I relaxed and ate at a restaurant and met some other people there. I gave rides to a few different people from all different perspectives of the debate. Then, Charley and I went on our way.

... the plantation where they filmed Skeleton Key. Our first stop was Oak Alley Plantation, so named for the giant 300 year old oak trees that lined the front driveway.
