The New Zealand part of our journey started with a great flight on Air New Zealand (We managed to fly first class here as well). The wine flowed, and the food was amazing. The pods were even better than Air Canada's, the entertainment system worked better, and the gps was easier to use. We hardly had time to watch any tv though, we were too busy …

Alex took us to the park and ride today so we could make our way into Auckland City centre. That's as far as he's able to drive without his car over heating so that was fine by us!! ... fruit salad, cereal and coffee. Alexis also discovered that the coke machine is about three times cheeper than the airport cafè which would be no surprise to anyone. Something worth remembering for the return journey when we pass through this way at the end of the week. Made a phone call (the expense of which I will try and track down later and edit into this post) to arrange transport from the airport at bora bora to the hotel its self, a boat being required. There ...

We woke to pouring rain and misty mountains. Nothing much to tell, a lovely breakfast at Dixie Brown's down below the apartment, and then into our car and onto the road. At times visibility was very poor and the rain torrential, occasionally reduced to a misty rain and then over it would come again, so a slow journey. The traffic was heavy on the motorway into Auckland, but we had no difficulties, and the children were very quiet and well ...
